What is this? - Using a program called Suno I create songs generated around the lyrics and directions that I provide. There is no live singer, no one is playing instruments, and there is no post-production editing apart from what I manually do with traditional music programming tools.
Do you write the songs? - Watching Satellites was written by me for the most part with a few exceptions (as I was getting used to Suno I allowed the system to create a few songs and then I went back and made edits and other changes off of what it already generated), otherwise that album was written by me. All music since Satellites is 100% written by me. In fact, for Hologram I began recording my own singing so I could supply the melody as well. What this means is that I come up with the idea for the song, I decide what it will sound like and what genre it is and the style and influences and instrumentation, record myself singing it, make edits, and so on. The way Suno phrases this process is "if you can describe a song, Suno can generate it".
I found a flub in one of your songs! - Because I'm working with AI rather than real people there are indeed occasional mistakes. A lyric will be mispronounced, a song will have a tiny skip, etc. I understand it's not perfect, and I apologize.
You used the same lyric in multiple songs! - C'mon man.
